Ralph Waldo Emerson was a great believer in the idealistic movement called transcendentalism. In many of his literature works, Emerson includes transcendental thoughts, such as in one of his essays from a collection of essays, Self-Reliance.
In the mid-1830s, Ralph Waldo Emerson produced a belief called Transcendentalism. He wrote the essay, “Self Reliance” and Henry David Thoreau, another Transcendentalist composed an essay called, “Walden.” Both works of literature concentrate on the Transcendentalism belief.
Ralph Wald Emerson, one of the forefathers of Transcendent Allis, published two series of essays, and they are seen as the basis and foundation of Transact mentalist thought. One essay Self Reliance in his first series, focuses on the Transcendentalist tenet of self reliance. It reads: “Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist.
This essay sparked the beginnings of Transcendentalism. However, it is his essay, “Self-Reliance” (1841), that exposed his views on the essence of individualism and the ills of collective thinking. Emerson’s compatriot, Henry David Thoreau, being of restless nature, lived on Walden Pond, a lake near Concord, where he wrote Walden (1854).
